Ashley Bernotas, MD, is a dually board-certified physician in family medicine and obesity medicine. She is the Director of Obesity Medicine at the Kaleida Health. With expertise in medically-managed obesity care, Dr. Bernotas joins the bariatric surgical team to establish a comprehensive weight management program. Her research interests include post-menopausal weight gain and muscle retention during weight loss. Her comprehensive center includes an individualized approach to weight management, nutrition support and mental health as it relates to obesity. Patient referrals should have a BMI greater or BMI greater or equal to 27 with comorbidities (diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, obstructive sleep apnea).
